Studying in Europe is a dream come true for many international students. Many educational opportunities exist in this continent, be it undergrad, postgraduate, or a Ph.D. program. But one main challenge that usually stops students in their tracks is finance. With a huge expanse over tuition fees, living expenses, and travel costs, how can you make a study trip to Europe affordable?

The good news is that there are numerous opportunities to obtain a scholarship in Europe. Here are some of the major scholarship options that make pursuing education in Europe an achievable reality for students from all parts of the world:

1. Erasmus+ Programme: Erasmus+ is an EU-funded program which helps international students from outside the European Union to get a reduced tuition fee or full tuition fee-waiver in European colleges and universities. It also offers a partial grant to cover living expense.

2. Fulbright Programme: Fulbright is a U.S. Government-funded programme which provides grants for international students to study in various European countries like Germany, France, Netherlands, etc.

3. British Chevening Scholarship: This highly competitive and prestigious scholarship is established by the British and funded by the British Government. It covers the majority of the expences associated with postgraduate studies undertaken at any higher education institution in UK.

4. Norwegian Government Scholarship: This scholarship is designed to support international students to study in Norway. It usually covers full tuition fees, monthly living allowances, and a sumptious travel allowance(per global travel limitations).

5. Danish Government Scholarships: If you are accepted as a student to a full-time course at a Danish university, you are eligible to apply for a grant (programme) that covers full tuition fees and other associated costs to study abroad in Denmark.

6. Latvia Government Scholarship: This scholarship is open to international students from all over the world. It is provided by the Ministry of Education, Science and Sports and fully covers the tuition fees for selected international students.

Finally, you should remember that in addition to the above-mentioned scholarship opportunities, many universities in Europe and other countries offer their own scholarships to international students.
