The Economic Mobility Pathways Pilot (EMPP) is an innovative program designed to create new pathways of opportunity for low-income individuals and families in the United States. The pilot program is a collaboration between the U.S. Department of Labor, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, and the U.S. Department of Education. By providing targeted resources and supports to eligible individuals, the EMPP seeks to create pathways for economic mobility, enabling individuals and families to achieve greater economic security and improved quality of life.

The program has four major components: Employment and Training, Housing, Financial Capability, and Education and Training. The Employment and Training component provides job training and placement services to help individuals and families gain and maintain employment. The Housing component provides assistance to help individuals and families secure or maintain safe and affordable housing. The Financial Capability component provides financial education, counseling, and services to assist individuals and families in managing their finances. Finally, the Education and Training component provides access to postsecondary education and training, as well as support services to help individuals and families complete their educational goals.

In addition to these components, the EMPP also offers case management services to help individuals and families connect to other resources and services in their communities. Through the EMPP, individuals and families can receive assistance in the areas of job search and placement, housing assistance, financial literacy and management, education and training, and other community resources.

The EMPP is an important step towards creating greater economic mobility for individuals and families in the United States. By providing targeted resources and supports to those in need, the EMPP is helping to create pathways to economic opportunity and greater economic security.
