The first thing you need to do is to go to the official Indian government website. From there, you can find the online application form for the India e-Visa. You’ll need to fill out this form with the required information, such as your name, passport number, and the dates of your intended visit to India.

Scanned Passport: Scanned bio page of your passport in PDF format. Size must be between 10KB and 300KB

There are three sub-categories of e-Visa i.e. (a)  e-Tourist Visa :  For recreation, sightseeing, casual visit to meet friends or relatives, and attending a short term yoga programme, (b)eBusiness Visa : For all activities permitted under normal Business Visa and (c) e-Medical Visa : For medical treatment, including treatment under Indian systems of medicine.  A foreign national will also be permitted to club these activities provided he/she had clearly indicated the same in the application form along with requisite documents.

The e-Visa system is available to citizens of over 160 countries, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, and Australia. The e-Visa can be used for tourism, business, medical, and conference purposes. It is valid for a period of up to 60 days and can be extended for an additional 30 days.

Once you’ve completed the application form, you’ll need to provide supporting documents, such as a valid passport, proof of your travel plans, and any other documents that may be required. After submitting these documents, you will then need to pay the visa fee.

Once your application is approved, you’ll receive an electronic visa in your email. You’ll need to print this out and present it at the Indian airport or port of entry. Upon arrival, you will need to show your passport, visa, and other documents.

Applying for an India e-Visa is relatively straightforward and can be done in just a few simple steps. However, it is important to make sure that all the information you provide is accurate and up to date. If you make a mistake on your application, you may have to resubmit it, which can delay your visa approval.
