Individual APS certificate with their ITALY STUDENT application.

Students applying to study in Italy must provide the university with an APS certificate as part of the application process. The APS certificate is used to verify the student’s financial and social security status in Italy. It also serves as proof of the student’s eligibility to receive financial aid and other benefits from the Italian government.    

The APS certificate must be obtained from the local Italian Social Security office and is valid for one year. The student must renew the certificate each year in order to remain eligible for the financial aid and other benefits.    

In order to obtain the APS certificate, the student must complete the “richiesta di attestato di protezione sociale” form. This form requires the student to provide proof of identity, residency, and financial status. The student must also provide a copy of their passport or ID card.  

In order to obtain an APS certificate, the applicant must first contact the Italian Ministry of Education, Universities and Research, and provide the necessary documentation. This may include a copy of the applicant's diploma, transcripts, and any other documents needed to verify their academic background. Once the documentation is received, the Ministry will review the applicant's qualifications and issue an APS certificate.    

Once the form is submitted, the student will receive the APS certificate within approximately three months. The APS certificate must then be sent to the university along with the Italy student application.  

The APS certificate is an important part of the Italy student application process and is necessary for the student to receive financial aid and other benefits from the Italian government. It is important for the student to obtain the APS certificate as soon as possible in order to ensure they meet the requirements for study in Italy.
